The #EBW24 closes today with the third and final day. Among the further contributions from the participants of BBMRI.it network and the #NextGenEU Strengthening BBMRI. it we would like to mention Alessia Leone’s speech on “Advanced Biobanking for Adult adipose tissues-derived Stem Cells” in yesterday afternoon’s Parallel Session V and today’s participation of Sara Casati in the Pitch your innovative idea – BBMRI/ESBB booth session with her presentation “Digital informed consent/assent matrix based on Common Condition of Use Elements: Coproducing an APP to track the process, return results, re-contact” . We would also like to congratulate Dr. Amalia De Curtis of the NeuroMed Biobanking Centre, part of the BBMRI.it community, and her group for the award received in the Best Poster Award category thanks to the poster entitled ‘Collaborative approaches for a sustainable future: BBDCARDIO, the widespread biobank of the Italian Cardiology Network’.
This brings to an end a three-day intense exchange of the European biobanking community, where it has been possible to get updated about the state of the art in terms of quality and ISO standards, data FAIRification, public engagement, scientific communication, artificial intelligence in precision medicine and many other topics of great impact and relevance to the world of biobanking. Finally, we are eager to invite you to the next Europe Biobank Week, the edition of 2025, which will be held next year in May in the city of Bologna!
