On Monday, April 14, 2025 the 7th edition of the Bologna Ambassador Awards was held in the wonderful setting of the Farnese Chapel at Palazzo d’Accursio. This initiative, promoted by the Bologna Convention Bureau, aims to highlight the personalities who contribute to the growth of the destination through major international events.
More precisely, Prof. Marialuisa Lavitrano, Director of Italian National Node BBMRI.it, and Prof. Monica Forni, Quality Lead BBMRI.it and WP1 Leader of Italian NRRP Project “Strengthening BBMRI.it”, have been awarded the Bologna Ambassador 2025 prize, among other influential personalities. The reason behind this ackowledgement stands in their consistent effort to bring the 2025 Edition of the Europe Biobank Week to Bologna, thus offering the city the chance to host the major international biobanking event of the year.
